Hello Pauline. I am very pleased that watching old photos of Gdynia made you a moment of joy. I am fascinated by people who have the idea and with great effort managed to build from scratch a large modern city and a large port. Your father lived before the war in Gdynia, witnessed the emergence of the city. Please e-mail andrzejpabisiak@outlook.com
Cordially, Andrew.
Hello Andrew, I have been looking at your Blog and amazing photographs.. Stare Gdynia. My father lived on The foreshore in Gdynia before The war. The house is where now stands Miasto Muzuem. You Jagę a photograph Of it displayed. So to look over these wonderful photographs is a gift. thankyou Pauline Earl Zd Lubner from South Australia. I would love to hear from you and have a discussion. Email
This is port-city Gdynia in Poland. Situated ashore the Gdańsk Gulf. In October 1920r. the Polish government came to a decision about the build in Gdynia of the port. He was supposed to be a competition for the port in Gdańsk of being under the total control of authorities of the Free City Gdańsk and Nazi authorities. In the moment of the explosion of II World War in 1939r. Gdynia was most modern port in Europe.
Where is this? Your photos are lovely and the town looks like it is well situated on the coast. Because of all the open land I’m guessing it took place in the early 1900’s?
Excellent post however , I was wanting to know if you could write a litte
more on this topic? I’d be very grateful if you could elaborate a little bit further. Kudos!
